What are HPL countertops and how are they made?

HPL (High-Pressure Laminate) countertops have stable and durable surfaces that are used in many different aspects, such as furniture, kitchen countertops, wall panels and many more. This type of solution is one of the most popular, used for finishing and creating wear-resistant surfaces. They consist of many layers that are tightly bounded to each other in a technological process using high pressure and temperature. The main ingredients are: reinforced cellulose and a special resin, which are pressed to form a durable and uniform surface. One of the key advantages of this type of worktop finish is its exceptional resistance to scratches, abrasion, staining and chemicals. HPL is also easy to clean, which is very important when using furniture on a daily basis.
