Rostrum, by Croatian furniture manufacturer Prostoria, is a sofa system with a highly sophisticated design language that takes its name from a raised platform. On slender legs the seats "levitate", above the surface, connected with each other in various combinations. The metal structure in the form of a frame that supports the foam cushions, at the same time has a decorative function as it is run along the outer sides of the armrests. The manufacturer proposes twenty ready-made compositions, among which we can find armchairs, simple sofas and multi-person corner sets. Modules can be separated by tables, shelves and have embedded media ports with sockets for charging devices. The colours of metal elements can be selected from over twenty colours, and the shelves and tables can be made in oak, ash or American walnut. There is also the possibility of installing acoustic walls that turn sofas into quiet places for intimate conversations.
