On Point table is a furniture concept designed for informal meetings in office or in public spaces. It was designed by Mattias Stenberg for the Offect brand. The design based on a circular plan provides access to the table top from each side of the furniture, and the widest variant of the table gives the opportunity to contact up to eight people gathered around. In one of the options, the project envisioned the integration of plants with the surface of the countertop, thus creating a place in the central part in the form of a pot. Larger shrub specimens or small trees naturally create a kind of umbrella, giving a sense of intimacy and improving acoustics at the same time. The base has a cone design, upholstered with fabric or leather according to the manufacturer's pallet. Meanwhile the top is made of oak laminate dyed white with bevelled edges.
It is possible to equip the furniture with media ports for charging devices such as a phone or a portable computer.

Mattias Stenberg for Offect

Mattias Stenberg was born in 1975. He graduated from the Institute of Technology in Stockholm, and in 2010 founded his Vision A&D studio, which focuses on architecture and design. His philosophy in creating diverse concepts is based on three pillars: consistency, form and well-chosen materials. The designer's works can be described as small architecture, as they can function independently and combine many aspects: visual, functional and spatial. On Point is a table designed by Mattias Stenberg for the Offect brand, which meets all the principles of this type of furniture.
